Exhibitor Spotlight: Victoria Arduino

17/10/2018

Victoria Arduino is the coffee machine and grinder sponsor of the Barista Masterclasses at European Coffee Expo 2019. Here Peter Garcia, managing director of Victoria Arduino's exclusive UK importers VA Machinery, explains why they're all excited about their involvement in the 2019 show.

What will Victoria Arduino bring to this innovative new feature at the show?

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be involved with the Baristas Masterclasses for European Coffee Expo in 2019. With the show being welcomed back in it’s second year, we are excited to see how it has grown and evolved, and this feature will be a great addition to an already fabulous line up.

With some of the UK’s best baristas (including a few special guests from Europe) showcasing their skills and approach to coffee, we immediately wanted to be involved. A lot of these baristas work with Victoria Arduino equipment in their cafes everyday, so we wanted to provide them with the quality and consistency they have become accustomed to.

Why is it important to create Barista Masterclasses for visitors to European Coffee Expo?

With all corners of the hospitality industry improving their standards, especially in regards to their coffee offering, the Barista Masterclasses will be a great way for people to learn and engage with experienced baristas. They will have the opportunity to listen to talks on how to approach new coffees, expanding their coffee offering, alternative milks, and other important topics like how to minimise wastage, retain staff and improve the customer experience.

We believe there will be something for everyone to learn from the Barista Masterclasses - no matter what your skill level or experience in the industry is, we can always learn from our peers. The baristas involved are coming from all sectors of the coffee industry - speciality cafes and roasters, contract catering, chains - both independent and international. Each sector has its own strengths, and I can’t wait to see what I am able to take away from them.

What are you most excited about seeing?

Each of the baristas involved will be bringing something unique to the Masterclasses, as they all have such varied roles in their places of work. We have a current World Barista Champion, Coffee in Good Spirits Champion, barista trainers, heads of coffee, wholesale managers, and latte art champions.

To have such a unique group of people all using Victoria Arduino equipment, I am very keen to see how they can utilise our technology to improve the customer experience and get the best out of the coffees they will be showcasing.

What did you like most about this year’s inaugural show?

With more and more events happening throughout the year in all parts of the UK, it was refreshing to see European Coffee Expo being a trade-only event, focussing on the hot and cold beverage market. The companies exhibiting were able to have quality conversations with the decision makers looking to expand their beverage offering, whether it be for a cafe, hotel, pub or restaurant.

What can visitors at the show expect to see from Victoria Arduino – any new products to be launched?

This year has been an exciting year for Victoria Arduino, with the launch of the new espresso grinder, the Mythos 2. Showcasing patented Gravimetric technology and innovative Clima Pro 2.0, it is a great addition to the Mythos range of grinders.

Alongside the Mythos 2, the Barista Masterclasses will be using the VA388 Black Eagle espresso machine, offering unrivalled temperature stability and brewing accuracy with our patented T3 and Gravimetric technologies.

Victoria Arduino espresso machines and grinders are focussed on improving the coffee experience by offering the most advanced espresso technologies, helping to improve consistency and efficiency while minimising wastage.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Barista Masterclasses and can’t wait to catch up over a coffee.
